Coupon Verification Policy
Learn how RetailWink checks, labels, expires, and corrects offers.
We label offers according to the evidence actually recorded for that coupon. A Checkout Tested code means a reviewer entered the code during a checkout test and recorded the result before payment. Merchant Confirmed means the promotion was confirmed from an official merchant or documented affiliate-network source. Community Reported means shopper feedback has been received but RetailWink has not independently reproduced the checkout result. Unable to Verify and Not independently verified are used when stronger evidence is not available.
Every verification record should include the date, reviewer, method, result, known restrictions, and source. Proof screenshots may be stored when they do not expose names, email addresses, postal addresses, payment data, order numbers, or other private information. RetailWink does not guarantee that a code will continue working after a test because merchants can change prices, eligibility, stock, dates, and promotion rules without notice.
Expired or failed offers are moved out of the active list when confirmed. Visitors can use the Worked / Didn't Work controls or Report a problem form to flag changes. Feedback is shown as community data and is not treated as a confirmed purchase.
